Schneider Electric and Signify present a joint solution for the energy rehabilitation of buildings

Schneider Electric and Signify have integrated their solutions focused on efficiency in the management of renewable energy and lighting, to provide a complete response to the energy rehabilitation of buildings. With this joint solution, the owners and managers of buildings can benefit from aid from 35% in HVAC control system actions and 15% in lighting actions in the Program of aid for the Energy Rehabilitation of Buildings (PREE), saving up to 80% of energy in lighting and up to 30% in the overall building. The new joint solution arises to provide a simple response to the growing need to reduce the environmental footprint and CO2 emissions of buildings and homes. Buildings are currently responsible for 34% of CO 2 emissions and, given this situation, the need to increase their energy efficiency and decarbonise becomes evident. For this reason, Schneider Electric and Signify have integrated their solutions, thinking about the energy rehabilitation of buildings to provide them with flexible, adaptable and easy-to-implement lighting. The joint proposal integrates Philips-branded LED lighting solutions with Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure BMS. In addition to the energy savings of up to 80% that it represents for the end user, the solution meets the maximum requirements of the PREE aid, allowing to cover 15% of the investments in the energy improvement of the lighting of buildings. The PREE grants are intended for the energy improvement of buildings prior to 2007, and specifically the objective is to obtain at least one letter break in the energy rating of buildings after the action, ensuring a minimum reduction in energy consumption by 10%. The current subsidies correspond to the improvement of the thermal envelope, the energy efficiency of thermal installations and lighting installations. It is at this last point that the new joint proposal from Schneider Electric and Signify enters.
